Buying refurbished furniture
Refurbished and refurbished-condition furniture has been cleaned, repaired and checked for stability before resale. Condition descriptions matter more here than grades.
Guides for furniture- Ask for photos of the actual item, not only catalogue images.
- Check what has been repaired or reupholstered and with which materials.
- Confirm delivery costs and return conditions; large items can be expensive to send back.
- When buying from a professional seller, you have a right to a conforming product. In the Netherlands this legal protection has no fixed term and depends on what you can reasonably expect.
