Buying a refurbished television
Refurbished TVs are checked for panel defects and full function before resale. The screen is the expensive part, so that is where to focus your questions.
Guides for TVs- Ask whether the panel has been checked for dead pixels, backlight bleed and image retention, especially on OLED.
- Check the condition of the stand, remote and ports, and whether a remote is included.
- Confirm the smart TV platform still receives app and system updates.
- When buying from a professional seller, you have a right to a conforming product. In the Netherlands this legal protection has no fixed term and depends on what you can reasonably expect.
