Buying a refurbished home appliance
Refurbished appliances are tested, cleaned and often fitted with new wear parts such as seals or filters before resale.
Guides for home appliances- Ask which wear parts have been replaced, such as seals, filters, belts or heating elements.
- Check the energy label: an older appliance can cost more in electricity than you save on the price.
- Confirm delivery, installation and old-appliance take-back options before ordering large machines.
- When buying from a professional seller, you have a right to a conforming product. In the Netherlands this legal protection has no fixed term and depends on what you can reasonably expect.
