November brings plenty of opportunities to buy a phone, laptop or another product at a competitive price. But you do not have to wait for Black Friday: refurbished can cost less than buying new throughout the year. What matters is finding a product that suits you, with a condition, warranty and price you are comfortable with.
Many shops start their Black Friday campaigns early in November and continue through Cyber Monday. That gives you time to compare rather than buy everything on one day. Start with what you need: a phone with enough storage, a laptop for work or a replacement for an appliance that no longer works. A low price is useful only if the product does the job.
Make a shortlist and note the current price, condition and seller before deciding. Compare the total including delivery, and check whether a promotion applies to the model you want. A large discount percentage says little on its own. We do not have a complete price history for every offer, so the listings below are current refurbished offers, not proof that each product has dropped in price for Black Friday.
Refurbished can offer good value all year
Refurbished products have generally been used before and are checked and, where needed, repaired before resale. Their previous use and cosmetic wear can make them cheaper than an equivalent new product. That price advantage does not depend on a November promotion. A recent previous-generation model can be enough for everyday use, without paying for the latest release.
Refurbished is not automatically the cheapest or best option. A new product on promotion can sometimes cost about the same. Compare the exact model and version, included accessories, stated battery condition and warranty. Refurbishment standards differ between sellers. For connected devices, check how long the manufacturer will provide software and security updates. A product with a longer useful life may be better value than a cheaper one you soon need to replace.
Choose a good purchase, not just a discount
Set a maximum budget before browsing and decide which features you need. Compare a few offers for the same model, then check the seller's product description and terms. With refurbished, visible wear may be an acceptable way to save, while storage, battery condition or a particular keyboard layout may matter much more to you.
If the price and terms are right, a November promotion can be a good moment to buy. If they are not, you do not need to rush because of a countdown. Refurbished stock and prices change all year. Reusing a product can also extend its useful life, though the environmental benefit depends on factors such as repairs, transport and how long you keep it. Choose something you actually need and can use for years.
When is Black Friday?
Black Friday is the day after US Thanksgiving, which is always the fourth Thursday of November, so the date shifts each year.

Sellers choose their own campaign period. Many webshops advertise discounts throughout November, so a suitable offer may appear before Black Friday or continue after it.
Highest ranked offers right now
One best offer per product, ranked on price, condition, warranty and seller trust. No seller can buy a higher position.
A lower price does not automatically mean a better buy. These five checks let you compare offers side by side.
Compare the same condition
A product graded good is not interchangeable with one graded like new. Only put offers with the same condition, and the same battery health where stated, next to each other.
Weigh the warranty
Two years of warranty is worth more than three months. When the price difference is small, the longer warranty can be the cheaper choice.
Check the return right
For an online purchase you have a statutory 14 day cooling off period. Some sellers give longer, and their own terms apply.
Look at the battery
For phones, tablets and laptops the battery is the part that ages fastest. Sellers who state the capacity make their offer comparable.
Check the seller
A certification, an establishment in the EU and a longer track record say something about how a dispute is handled. Our seller pages state what we know and what we do not.
A lower price is not yet a price drop
Sellers set their own list price. A strike-through price raised shortly before November makes the discount larger than it is. That is why we only show a saving when we have checked the price of the same product at another seller, with the date of that check.
